1. How points work
The ladder uses the Elo system, like in chess. Before each match it estimates the odds: the more points you have compared to your opponent, the more you’re expected to win.
- Beat a stronger player — you gain a lot of points, and they lose the same amount. Beat a weaker player — you gain only a few.
- Lose to a weaker player — you lose a lot. Lose to a stronger player — you lose only a little.
- An overtime or shootout loss costs less: the loser gets a quarter of a result, so they lose fewer points, and the winner gains less than for a regulation win.
- A single match is worth 32 points at most. The winner gains roughly as many points as the loser gives up.
- The scoreline (5:0 or 2:1) doesn’t affect points — only the outcome matters: a win, a regulation loss, or an overtime/shootout loss.
Formula: expected = 1 / (1 + 10^((opponent’s points − your points) / 400)); change = 32 × (result − expected), where result is 1 for a win, 0 for a loss, and 0.75 / 0.25 for an overtime or shootout finish. Rounded to the nearest whole number.
2. Examples: points per match
| You / opponent | Situation | Win | Loss | OT/SO win | OT/SO loss |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1000 / 1000 | Evenly matched | +16 | -16 | +8 | -8 |
| 1000 / 1100 | You’re 100 lower | +20 | -12 | +12 | -4 |
| 1000 / 1200 | You’re 200 lower | +24 | -8 | +16 | 0 |
| 1100 / 1000 | You’re 100 higher | +12 | -20 | +4 | -12 |
| 1200 / 1000 | You’re 200 higher | +8 | -24 | 0 | -16 |
Before every match, the “Opponent found” screen shows how many points a win will earn and a loss will cost.
3. Which matches count toward the ladder
- Ladder 1v1 matches — via “Find opponent” or by challenging a specific player. Play as any NHL 27 team.
- All season matches — regular season and playoffs. Every confirmed season match adds or takes away ladder points under the same rules. Play the season and you climb the ladder too.
- Season forfeits are unplayed games, so they don’t count toward the ladder.
- Weekend Cups and 5v5 team matches don’t count toward the ladder — they have their own standings.
- A cancelled or voided match removes its ladder points for both players: everything goes back to how it was before the match.
4. Month, limits & qualifying
- Every month, everyone is back to 1000 points. The table resets on the 1st at 00:00 Moscow time, and last month’s results are saved in the archive.
- In Ladder 1v1 you can play the same opponent no more than 2 times a day and 6 times a month. This stops point farming. Season matches don’t count toward this limit.
- The final monthly standings and the prize race include players with 10+ matches in the month (season matches count too).
- If points are tied, the player with more wins ranks higher.
- If a ladder match score isn’t reported within 6 h, the match is cancelled with no penalty.
5. Monthly prizes
🥇 1st place
24 300 ₽
🥈 2nd place
16 200 ₽
🥉 3rd place
8 100 ₽
🔥 Most active
8 100 ₽
- Prizes land in your wallet as soon as the month closes. “Most active” goes to the qualified player with the most matches.
- Withdrawals are in rubles only: via SBP or to a bank card, from 1 000 ₽. The top 3 get trophies on their profile, the top 10 get medals.
6. Scores, disputes & cancelling a match
- After the match, the winner reports the score and attaches a screenshot of the final screen. The opponent gets a notification and confirms — points are awarded instantly.
- If the opponent disagrees with the score, they open a dispute, and referees review it within 48 hours. No reply within 24 hours and the score is confirmed automatically.
- Reported the wrong score? Propose a cancellation on the match page — if your opponent agrees, both of you get your points back. League staff can cancel any match.
- False scores, faked screenshots, playing against yourself and collusion mean voided points and a lower fair play rating. Do it again and you’re banned.
